The magnitude of a vector can be calculated by taking the square root of the sum of the squares of its components. ● The magnitude of the vector v is denoted by |v|.● The magnitude of a vector is the length of the vector and does not depend on its direction. We write the magnitude of a vector as |v|, where v is the vector. The norm of a vector isalso called its length. In terms of versions 1 and 2, we can find it from the picture by using the Pythagoreantheorem. The length of a hypotenuse is the length of one side of a triangle, and the other sides arev1 and v2. The formula for the length of v is: square root of v1 squared plus v2 squared.
