Keep Notes follows the Honor Code, and so should you!
How do we mean it?
The Honor Code of KeepNotes is an important document that has compiled a set of rules designed to govern the process of uploading academic documents. This document reflects the key principles that should be adhered to in the preparation and further publication of academic materials (lecture notes, personal research, and so on) on this website.
How do we see it?
The main object these principles apply is the text material to be uploaded to the site. Regardless of size, focus, or subject matter, every academic material is subject to Honor Code regulation. An honor code in academic notes is a set of ethical principles and rules to be followed in preparing and writing them. Thus, the Honor Code we follow is based on several basic principles:
The document's main purpose is to regulate and control the quality of academic materials posted on the site and to support ethical communication between all participants.
The Principle of Honesty
Academic integrity is paramount because it helps maintain the credibility and reputation of all those involved in the process, including authors and institutions. Keep Notes academic integrity involves:
We allow you to use various sources to create your outline, but we insist that it must result from your intellectual work. Let’s acknowledge the ideas, research, and contributions of others!
The Principle of Personal Responsibility
The Principle of Responsibility implies that the author is 100% responsible for their work. Our Honor Code protects intellectual work by adhering to the principles of ethics. The principle of responsibility implies:
The Principle of Respect
The Honor Code promotes a respectful and inclusive environment where all users are treated with dignity and fairness. The principle of respect in the preparation of academic work involves:
Thus, the Honor Code principle of respect aims to remind us of the importance of ethical attitudes in order, among other things, to foster a fertile environment for meaningful discussion, the exchange of ideas, and contributions to collective learning.
It is motivated within the framework of academic integrity and the specific guidelines of the platform or institution. Thus, it allows users to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and contribute to collective learning.

Moderating Your Files Before Publishing
Moderation is a mandatory stage before the uploaded document appears on the site. Our system analyzes each document based on multiple parameters (quality, readability, uniqueness). We correlate your notes with millions of files in our database and on the Internet to avoid publishing unoriginal academic papers.
The moderation time for each document is individual, although we try to make this process as fast as possible. Some notes may be approved more quickly. Some may be sent for a more in-depth review. As a rule, the review takes up to 48 hours.
Rejecting Your Documents by Incompliance
Some documents may be rejected after moderation. You will receive an email if you have uploaded a document, but it has been rejected for publication. Reasons for rejection may vary. To avoid this, we recommend that you:
You can try uploading the rejected document again by correcting the errors. Carefully check your file to ensure that it meets the service requirements.
Prohibiting Misuse or Cheating at KeepNotes
We value our reputation and are responsible for the quality of the content we publish. That is why we have developed KeepNotes principles that we adhere to and encourage users to do the same. The main rules of the service are based on:
Users who systematically attempt to pass off other people's content as their own, as well as purposefully violating the rules, may be blocked at the discretion of the service.
Keeping Up With Copyright Law
While providing users with a wide range of options, KeepNotes is adamant about respecting copyright law. It is forbidden to publish (in full, in part, paraphrased) such materials on our site:
Uploading documents to the site means the following: the user either owns the copyright to this content in full or has written express permission from the owners to use its materials. Otherwise, publishing copyrighted material is strictly prohibited.
User-uploaded content must comply with laws, regulations, and codes of ethics, including their school's academic honesty policy, and does not violate the KeepNotes Terms of Use and Honor Code.
Notes posted on the site may be removed. Access to any content may also be blocked if it violates copyrights. Repeated violations of the rules set forth by the service, as well as willful disregard of the policy, may be cause for deactivation of a user's account.
Regulation of Recorded Violations
KeepNotes Honor Code implies a perfectly clear and immediate reaction in case of violations.
Each participant is required to study the Honor Code. Publishing your work on the site automatically confirms that you understand the rules and principles voiced and accept them fully and completely. Compliance with the Honor Code's principles is obligatory for each user.
