Early Childhood Education

The Early Childhood Education (ECE) program at Cosumnes River College prepares students for a career in the field of early childhood education. Students will learn about child development, behavior management, curriculum planning, and family involvement. This program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in ECE principles and practices, as well as hands-on experience working with young children in a variety of settings. Graduates of this program can pursue careers as preschool teachers, child care providers, or early intervention specialists, or continue their education in related fields such as education or social work.
