SCI 112 | Environmental Science: Focus on Sustainability

The Environmental Sustainability course at John Jay College covers the complex environmental issues facing our planet. Students learn about the impacts of human activities on the environment, and strategies for mitigating and adapting to these impacts. Social justice and environmental challenges are emphasized, with a focus on the disproportionate impact of environmental degradation on marginalized communities. Students leave the course with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability and the tools to make informed decisions about their own environmental impact.
