The overuse of antibiotics has led to the development of antibiotic resisitant bacteria, making it difficult to treat infections with traditional antibiotic thirapies The lecture then moved on to discuss emerging diseases, which are caused by newly discovered or previously unknown microorganisms that pose a significant threat to human helth. These emerging diseases can be caused by viruses, bacteria ,or other pattoggns, and can spread rapidly through human populations, leading to pandemics.
