Psychology notes - Phoneme Morphemes = simple sounds that make up morphemes, words and sentences. Syntax = in linguistics, syntax is the set of rules, principles, and procedures that govern the structure of sentences in a language, usually including sentences. • Language Acquisition = a process by which people acquire the ability to understand and create language. Over-editing = part of the language learning process in which children expand grammatical structures to irregular words, Language acquisition tools = an essential part of Noam Chomsky's language acquisition in the 1960s. Linguistic relativity hypothesis = relativity is Sapir–Whorf hypothesis / also known as part of the relationship, Wolff hypothesis or Wolffism. Prototypes = a pathway for women battling drug addiction and other serious issues such as Domestic Violence and Depression. Algorithm = In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm is a finite sequence of well-defined computer executables. Functional obsession = a skill that prevents a person from simply using a product because it is used all the time. • Identify the differences. = is the tendency to find, interpret, support, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports a previous belief or value. Convergent thinking =- is a term coined by Joy Paul Guilford and is the opposite of divergent thinking. Divergent Thinking = a theory or method used to generate ideas by searching for many solutions. • Availability heuristic = Also known as Availability Heuristic, it is a psychological method based on examples that come to mind immediately for a particular person. - George Sperling = American psychologist, researcher and teacher. Sperling files are available on the memory stick. George Miller. = is an Australian film director, producer, writer and doctor. Alexander Luria = Luria was a psychiatrist in Imperial and Soviet Russia and is generally considered the father of modern neuropsychological testing. Hermann Ebbinghaus = was a German psychologist who began the study of memory in and is credited with discovering the forgetting curve and interval. Noam Chomsky. = An American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, social critic, and political activist. He is sometimes referred to as the "father of modern linguistics".
